- Next up on SOG Chrome is Israeli progressive house duo Brisker & Magitman who recently put together the 'SOG Files MMVI' compilation for the label.
'Silly Thoughts' is first up and starts off at a frenetic pace with futuristic bleeps, echoing samples and a thundering bassline. Brisker & Magitman often use huge rolling synths and here they're employed again to create hands-in-the-air moments within the breakdowns. Tinny metalic samples play in the background adding contrast to the powerful rolling synths.
'36dd' has a little more distortion with electro influences lending a hand to the melodies and bass. The bassline evolves continually throughout, morphing from catchy to rib-shaking to eventually become the main focal point. Mellow shuffling samples add a touch of emotion but struggle to stand out from the backdrop of the aggressive bassline. Towards the end, all the elements combine and build to a great climax.
Brisker & Magitman really deliver the goods on this one. If you're in need of a slice of main room prog, don't look past these guys.
