  • Footwork is a counterculture full of parties, dance battles, music production and more. The Era Footwork Crew—made up of six members, Litebulb, Chief Manny, Steelo, P-Top, Syd and DJ Spinn—makes that clear through their multidisciplinary world of choreography, filmmaking, fashion and music. Forming in 2014 and releasing their own musical productions since 2016, their distinctively smooth sound emulates their effortless quick-step glides. Their latest single, "Who Betta," is a battle track with a triumphant hook: "Tell me who do betta / Doin shit that you'll never," Steelo talk-sings. Made during a session at Spinn's famous Track Factory studio, "Who Betta" complements the calm, confident flows of P-Top, Steelo, Chief Manny and Spinn with a delicate drum pattern. Their verses are manipulated with echoing, descending notes and stuttering lyrics that give the song wobbly feel. With bars this fluid, you almost forget they're actually talking shit.
