- DJ MELL G's debut album, ISSUES, from earlier this year was a brooding electro record based on the Hamburg producer's struggles with borderline personality disorder, and closer "BEYOND 70" was its darkest moment. As part of the new remix LP, Copenhagen techno head Peachlyfe takes the ominous tones and turns them into stuttering trance, where the rush of the genre—and its jabbing basslines—become ominous portents, synth notes stuttering like an anxious string section. It's cinematic but sparse, using every sound—every echo, every delay—to build maximum tension.
