It's a catchy little number, but it's Nathan Fake's remix that might be warming up DJ sets and TikToks well into the new year. The UK producer expands the drums into widescreen, swapping out the subtly funky programming for loose, Italo worthy hi-hats. Not content to let the plaintive chords of the original do the emotional heavy lifting, Fake adds in a theatrical and rueful lead line to give it an extra dash of melancholy, without ever slipping into the realm of cheesy.
