- Manni Dee has been making hard and fast techno for over a decade. But where a lot of the trendy 140 BPM-plus techno is purposefully or based around pop samples, Manni Dee sees aggressive tempos as being ideal vehicles for his pointed critiques of an austere, post-Brexit Britain. His latest single, "HOT," written in collaboration with River Moon, takes that political ferocity and applies it to sexuality instead. Moon's snarling vocals land in battle mode: "Yo. I'm the hottest motherfucker alive," she begins. Things only get better from there as the two slowly build up to vintage hardcore breakdowns at the chorus where Moon's vocals are washed in a cascade of guitar feedback.
