On the flip, though, Venezuelan raptor house originator Dj Babatr is all business. The bounding kick drum pattern has a little in common with East Coast club music, a comparison only underlined by the stuttering vocals. But it's the zippy, horn-like synths that really make it Babatr's, transforming "ENAMORADODE" from a suave pop-dance cut to a track that sounds like it was made by someone who's been up for 96 hours straight. It's a great marriage of producer and artist, and showcases the increasingly global reach and appeal of Babatr's raptor house sound.
