- Sydney duo Pinz & Pelz launch their new label, Dance Is A Fetish, with a corker of a techno track. For a certain kind of techno fan, "Evacuation Procedures" should press all their buttons, if not for that chord vamp that shoots across the stereo spectrum alone. Low-pitched acidic squelches and the hint of arps create a tense mood that, like the somewhat silly video, lend the track a feeling of drama, like it's running away from something. But that's drama, not melodrama, which is what makes "Evacuation Procedures" so moreish: it never overdoes any element, keeping everything in perfect suspension.
