- Tweek'd records has gathered pace over the last year with some solid house releases in various tribal and electro shades and are continuing that trend into '06 ,calling on some big-guns to start off the new year.My Drug comes compliments of Seductive beatz - Martin Accorsi,a name familiar to us all having had numerous releases on labels such as Bedrock,Saw and Eq Grey to only name a few .
The M.Accorsi original mix is up first , a tight electro-house fused number that brings together a gritty attitude of scraping percussion,subtle beats and narky vocal setting the tone as heavily delayed sounds add a subtle build.The mood stays dark as the more the track develops a wash of dirty,techno elements take over with angry synthlines and seething ride hats,contorting and twisting the incessant flow.This is one sweet but dirty cut.
Next up is the Austin Leeds remix.The Floridian cranks up the pressure with a tougher take complete with bullet in the head sounds that hit off each other as the motion gathers a dark edge.The vocal is cut up a little too adding to the peaky tribal flavour.
Last up is the Leeds Vs Housetrap remix,just as angry as what's come before but drawing out an pure electroish groove as stabby synths and glitchy spatial fx ease the track forward,the tweaked vocal taking the fore in places to raise the temperature.
There's also an M.Accorsi dub in there that strips back the vocal but its his original mix that's the caged animal.
