- The single "Хвиля" ("Hvylia"), on the debut EP from Verhovksi X Majouga—a newly-formed hip-hop duo in Tbilisi—is a breakbeat techno remix of Verhovski's 2019 song of the same name. Originally from Kharkiv, Verhovski lived in St. Petersburg in Russia until the escalation of the war in Ukraine this February. The lyrics in his '90s-inspired flow ("I was falling asleep in someone else's arms / Even thought it was mine" resonate anew as the Ukrainian culture is uncoupling from Russian hegemony with new determination.
