Enayet - GUI Shaap

  • A percussive showstopper.

  • New York label and DJ collective SLINK describes their music as "slippery club rhythms," a quality that core member Enayet embodies on his new contribution to their latest EP. Willowy and light on its feet, this track features live recordings of the dhol, a double-sided barrel drum popular across South Asia, made during the artist's time in Dhaka earlier this year. These kaleidoscopically layered drum patterns mesmerise against drill-inspired vocals and hints of dub techno but despite their palpable toughness, "GUI Shaap" still feels flowy and liquefied. Slippery rarely feels so strong.
