- For the first time in six years, French producer Golden Bug returns to La Belle Records with "Bring The Light," a shaggy psych jam that channels Darkside with a more lucid approach. The atmosphere is desert dry, as torrid guitar strumming stutters and loops into dust devils of sound. Raspy falsettos from Pajaro Sunrise feel like a seductive sermon, as he narrates the state of things in relation to the elements: "Ashes melt fire / Raindrops bring the rainbow / But you just bring the light." (High praise from someone who literally goes by "Sunrise.") "I spend hours and hours in my studio experimenting with machines looking for the right accident," Golden Bug told Psychedelic Baby Magazine earlier this year. If this is another one of those happy accidents, then throw luck into the bag along with his unwavering prowess in psychedelic electronica.
