Jozef K & Tin Man - Perfectly Symmetrical Acid

  • A genius Tin Man bassline meets Jozef K's irresistible atmospherics.

  • You can tell from the very first note of the bassline on "Perfectly Symmetrical Acid" that this is Tin Man we're listening to. You can also tell it's going to be a good one, and this collaboration with Jozef K is easily the duo's best track yet, with sad-acid melody up there with TIn Man's best. Not that it's all downcast—the pads, which I'd wager come from Jozef K, add a celestial glow, and the track builds beautifully, letting off an reverb-soaked airhorn far in the distance that feels both like an offhand joke and a deeply resonant, emotional touch. Even the dewy, soft-touch snares feel immensely profound. It's taken from a new EP accurately called Perfect & Nice Acid, a record that finds new wrinkles in the decades-old format. This one might be perfectly symmetrical, but it's hardly predictable.
