- Patrick Shiroishi and Devin Sarno are both prolific artists in their own right. Shiroishi has put out an inimitable catalog of records, touching on everything from bebop to neoclassical. Sarno is an experimental bassist who has been releasing music since the '90s. The two have teamed up for the track "Sound Study Two." It’s the second installment in Sarno’s Sound Study project, which is an ongoing monthly series of collaborative single releases. It finds Shiroishi's dissonant, ethereal saxophone resting atop an eerie electronic backdrop. Blurring the lines between jazz and ambient, it simultaneously showcases the signature style of each artist.
