- This isn't the first time rRoxymore has been part of a musical manifesto like the one outlined here by Berlin collective REIF. They speak of sound as a means of resistance, using it to pave the way for new realities. With "DE-Centered," rRoxymore acts out resistance by rejecting a fundamental element of dance music: the kick drum. Giddy organ arpeggios tease a euphoric build-up that would normally cry out for a kick, but instead she chooses to disperse the rhythms amongst searching aurora-like tones and swathes of low-end. In doing so, rRoxymore denies us something we have come to crave, inviting a more tranquil path to ecstasy.
