- There's a duality to "115 (Kondo)," the first track off Fraxinus's debut solo record (and first release in four years). The kick drums are tough as nails, hitting in a broken pattern that should reduce some of the pressure but really just makes them hit like steel-toed boots. An arpeggio flutters over the top, going through various filters and EQing that leads the track from one climatic moment to another. It's all fairly straightforward, but it has the essence of techno down: sometimes all you need is expert modulation and pacing to create a banger that sticks in your mind long after you hear it on the dance floor.
