When Melbourne collective 30/70 sent Bradley Zero their track "Tastes Like Freedom," his jaw must've dropped. It's precisely the type of house-adjacent funk the label has been pushing since its inception, spiced with bits of broken beat, jazz, and the force of singer Allysha Joy's vocal. Yu Su's standout on a new remix package changes the mood from gospel to sweet nothings, chopping the runtime in half and focusing on the breathy gaps between Joy's words. There's a taste of the original's euphoria in the swirling arpeggio towards the end, but the vibe here is far more sensual than spiritual.
