- I'm not sure if I'll ever love a loop as much as "Taste Not Waste" from Losoul's debut album, Belong. It's practically the Platonic form of everything good about minimal: unhurried but enveloping, trippy but soulful, intricate but spacious. "Ghost Talk," taken from his latest 12-inch for Barbara Preisinger's label Slices Of Life, may not usurp "Taste Not Waste," but it does remind us that if it ain't broke, why fix it? Across ten minutes Losoul proves he remains the groovemaster bar none, locking us into seemingly endless loops of squidgy drums, clipped chords and alien vocals.
