The latest release from Chris McCormick, AKA Cromby, is a collaboration with Spanish vocalist Tee Amara. The original is a sexy electro number with bursts of bright acid that accentuates the pillow talk delivery of Amara's lyrics. But my pick on the 12-inch is Nicola Cruz's flip where he turns the whole thing inside out. The acid line is darkened alongside an even more sinister synth as Cruz wraps Amara's voice in so much reverb it sounds like she's trying to break through a robotic-looking glass. If the original is for the lovers, Cruz's version is for the freaks.
