- My favorite UK garage tracks often have a pop sheen to them. I'm certainly not alone in this regard—the way that some UK garage can mix absolute ferocious low end with just the right amount of cheese has always been part of its appeal. We see this in full effect on the debut EP from Bogotá-based Nicolas Duque. On "Just The Way" the vocals are pitched slightly too low in the mix for it to reach the level of, say, "Flowers," but it's still absolutely infectious. It's a potential radio (pirate or otherwise) anthem; crisp drums, chords made of romance and a perfectly vintage rap verse.
