Michelle Vagi's sawtooth techno often sneaks in a melody or a 303 that gives it a hint of the sensual. "Just The Begin" takes this to a whole new level. A sample from what could be an outtake of Gossip Girl tells a potential lover, "I love having sex, but I hope that we can just talk about it. And, tonight, you can get to know me better." The synth line mirrors this tension, stretched to its breaking point over a walking bassline that worms through the quantized grid. In the last two minutes, Michelle finally offers a release with some welcome chord crescendos, making for the most memorable track on Nicolas Lutz's latest Lutzifer compilation EP.
