- Zosia Mackenzie originally wrote "W Naszym Domu"—in our house—in her grandmother's attic in Warsaw and finished recording it in Toronto. She returned to the Polish capital later to visit her grandmother and record the video for the song, but her grandmother died the night they flew and Mackenzie never saw her again. So "W Naszym Domu," and its striking video, featuring Szaio dancing around the empty family house, became a tribute: a low-slung, pulsating techno track with hints of EBM and deadpan vocals about wanting to dance together at home. It's touching if you know the backstory, and a little unsettling if you don't. Its heaving synth lead and chugging rhythm like something you might hear on the hallowed dance floor of Salon des Amateurs, pitched somewhere between pleasure and melancholy.
