  • Not much is known about Delirium Nonnus, except for the fact that the artist types in Latin, calls the "Holy Roman Empire" home and makes bangers that sample sacred sounds. On Codex Futura Vol. II, a compilation that explores musical styles around the Iberian Peninsula, the mysterious producer pairs Gregorian chants with syncopated drum patterns and bursts of squelchy synths that, perhaps surprisingly, perfectly accentuate the high-pitched samples. A reverential yet hard-hitting approach to holy music, "Omnipotens" is remarkable for its unlikely combinations as well as its seamless flow.
