- Hong Kong artist Xiaolin strikes gold on her debut EP. Drawing on pummelling breakbeat and electric acid energy, the resident at 宀 (the name of the Hong Kong club, and its new label) doesn't waste any time on the opening track "Lanterns." Right away she unleashes industrial-strength bass thuds followed by a rapid-fire flurry of high-pitched synths that feel straight out of Sonic The Hedgehog. Judging by this vigorous show of force, it’s clear that Xiaolin, a former student of The Juilliard School, is ready to make her mark on a growing club scene.
