- Robyn teased Olof Dreijer's "Monument" remix in a streaming DJ set last April, promising to release it "in a few weeks." It never materialized. The original comes from Robyn's 2014 collaborative EP with Röyksopp, a record that still deserves more attention than it received. "Monument" was the odd one out, a smouldering torch song with melodramatic lyrics. In The Knife cofounder's hands it becomes a 2-step-adjacent shuffler with the trademark tropical lilt of Dreijer's recent work. (Imagine Silent Shout on vacation in Ayia Napa.) It's an unexpected treat that gives "Monument" the uplifting treatment it deserves, turning a funereal march into something celebratory.
