VFR - Tranceillusion (Remixes)

  • GU Music launch their digital only imprint with a remix collection of the classic 90’s production by VFR entitled Tranceillusion. You may remember the original featuring on Sasha & Digweed’s Renaissance album, this time however, we have 4 quality talents on the remix knobs. The Luke Dzierzek Remix continues on from his stunning form on Silver Planet with an inspiring remix. The track flows nicely with some electro filled synths and a hint of the main vocal hook. The track builds nicely using some subtle melodies before it breaksdown and then explodes into action with some bass driven synths that take the track to another level. Fantastic stuff from Luke. The Dobbs Remix is a fusion of broken beats, eerie effects and a deep smoothness that unleashes itself amongst the series of tripped up effects and weird sounds. It’s a smooth and interesting remix from Dobbs that needs to be heard to be appreciated. The Redlight Remix is another smooth interpretation flowing with some smooth broken beats and some stuttered vocal hooks and effects. There is a deep and subtle bassline that rides underneath the beats and builds towards the main breakdown that introduces a sinister electro set of patterns and melodies that are downright funkly and seductive. Mezra’s Blue Room Remix is last up, and it flows from the outset with a deep smooth baseline. It starts heating up when the vocal line comes in and unleashes some spaced out effects and a great intriguing atmosphere. It’s another fine remix in a very solid debut release in the digital market for GU.
