Guy Gerber - Stoppage Time (Remixes)

  • Bedrock records saw its debut release from Guy Gerber in 2004 with the big room sound of Stoppage Time and now it gets the once over from two big names . First up is Max Graham who needs no lengthy introductions having had global success in the charts recently with a more commercial friendly take of "Owner of a lonely heart" from 80's band Yes. Graham keeps the pressure up from the start with a more jacked up meld of deep house driven beats and funk injected synth riffs and strings . Before we've settled into enjoying the groove things break with a build that stays true to the original but rewards in an even bigger fashion by upping the pace a notch and powering ahead with gradual melodies. The second remix is a different affair as Tom Mangan lays down an angry dose of heavy synthetic sounds laden with shades of tech and electro along with dirty tweaked phrases that take control of the not quite house beat and twist into something more evil .
