- Disc two of the Derek Howell EP on Bedrock features two more cutting edge tracks from the young American producer.
Happy To Be Sad is a little more melodic then the first few tracks, with nice rippling melodies featuring in the track throughout alongside a nice bouncing baseline that works its magic subtly in the background.
I Was Just Leaving is a tad more gritty with a rougher edge featuring in the low end sounds of the production. There is still a strong melodic presence in the track with eerie melodies surrounding the beats alongside some nice smooth string patterns.
This is quite a nice way to close the EP, with all tracks really delivering a good melodic touch. Some might be disappointed with the alikeness of each track, but you can’t deny the quality of each production.
