- Remix duty on this wonderfully packaged and designed 4 track EP from Lisa Shaw comes courtesy of Speakeasy, Jimpster, Swag and Herbert.
First up Speakeasy serve up a fizzy, electronic vocal version, as clean drums and cool edits break up the main vocal.
Jimpsters full vocal mix takes the track on a deep and jazzy atmospheric ride, flip it over for the pick of the bunch, and for me one of the best tracks I’ve heard from Swag, or anyone for that matter, in quite a while. As you’d expect it’s pretty busy with ultra-clean squelches and clicks, utilising only snippets of the vocal, chopping them up and twisting them out this bumpy, happy track. The right dash of elements move in and out of the mix to keep the arrangement constantly on the move. You really have to listen to this track all the way through to appreciate it properly. Finally, Herbert completes the package with a dub of chopped up, syncopated beats and jazzy bass line.
