Releasing an electro track today without much prior affiliation with the style might seem like bandwagon jumping, but "Zoe Price" does electro the Yaleesa Hall way: bursting with squirrelly details. It boasts a melody that sounds like it's being whistled, which is a very jovial touch. The enormous bass drops are great, too. On "Hayley Roach" (with longtime label collaborator Malin) helicopter synth-swells apply waves of pressure, while sharp snares and a persistent kick effectively make the track one of the pair's meanest techno productions yet. "Laura Pomeroy" returns to that playful Yaleesa Hall sound with blooping bass, shunting breaks and burbling pads.
