UK Producer Terry Francis delivers his Freedom EP for Hallucination Limited, a EP that got heavy play from DJ’s such as John Digweed and Lee Burridge in particular.
On the a-side is Free. Definitely one of the highlight releases this year from Hallucination, this track got a proper caning from John Digweed in particular. It features a good drum pattern that changes shape with little additions here and there. Some smooth strings come into the production midway accompanied with some filtered vocal effects, right before the main wailing vocals come into the track giving it a classic house feel. A very solid track from Terry.
On the flip is Rosie & Hannah House. As on the a-side, the production features a very standard, but solid drum pattern. A nice subtle baseline enters early, and although it is not greatly obvious, it really does contribute greatly to the track. Smooth strings gather as the production progresses, and it builds the track to some degree, even though it never really takes off.
