Slam returns to T In The Park

- The celebrated dance tent hosts an assemblage of dance music's best this weekend.
- This weekend, much of dance music royalty will be in one place: the Slam Tent at the T In The Park Festival. Headlining the tent on Day 2 and 3 of the festival (the tent presumably takes a while to construct) will be the likes of Aphex Twin, Richie Hawtin, Jeff Mills and Modeselektor, but also appearing will be Carl Craig, Justice, DJ Hell, Dusty Kid, Erol Alkan, Model 500, SLAM and others, promising for a more focused offering in contrast to last year's hodgepodge of grime (Dizzee Rascal), cratedigger hip-hop (DJ Shadow), electro pop (Hot Chip) and the usual suspects (Felix Da Housecat, Green Velvet, Miss Kittin). Tickets look to be sold out for Scotland's largest summer festival, but we're guessing if you rush the gates Woodstock-style that festival organizers will see how reasonable you are and let you in straight away.
