  • Community organisation and event series Nine Nights TV has announced a free event in Manchester. Taking place this Saturday, April 27th, in the Northern Quarter's Feel Good Cafe, the programme will span a workshop, panel discussion and open-deck networking session for Black artists to share their knowledge on the music industry. The topics covered will be community, artistry and self-promotion with PRIDO, Obeka and SHEwillprovide; and music business strategy and marketing with Jamz Supernova and Kings Of Amapiano. There will also be an afterparty at nearby club Yes, with some of the panelists DJing and performing live. "We're excited to be back in Manchester for another workshop," said Nine Nights TV cofounder GLOR1A. "The last was in 2021, and featured local talent PERiiSu, Lady Ice and Abnormal Sleepz. From that workshop, new musical connections were formed, with artists touring together ever since. This event embodies our commitment to amplifying underrepresented talents and fostering meaningful connections within the music community across the country." Founded in 2020 as a lockdown livestream series, Nine Nights TV is a cultural and community organisation focused on elevating "Black alternative electronic music artists, producers and visual artists."
