- The CBD-located space hosts its final party tonight, April 19th.
Beloved Melbourne loft venue Ferdydurke is closing after 12 years.
The team shared the news via Instagram last Friday, April 12th. "All good things come to an end and it is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Ferdy," the statement read. "Our last service will be Saturday, April 20th with a special Ferdy Farewell on Friday, April 19th."
The statement also confirmed that the team has a new venue in the works that is planned to "open shortly."
Founded in April 2012, the Tattersalls Lane loft space took inspiration from Witold Gombrowicz's surrealist novel of the same name. Over the last 12 years, it has hosted local DJs, artists and live acts across a multitude of genres.
