Gravity Club opens in Melbourne

- A new club has opened in Melbourne's CBD. Produced by the team behind local spot Sub Club, Gravity Club spans two spaces: a 350-capacity all-weather courtyard with retractable roof and a 400-capacity indoor dance floor. It boasts a Funktion-One sound system, which was installed by local audiovisual company Sound Experience, and features a bespoke midnight purple colourway. Gravity Club has hosted four events since February, but is expanding its programming in the coming months. Speaking to Resident Advisor, venue manager Conor Wylie said the club intends to "work with lots of brands in the worlds of house, tech house and techno to establish a new home for these genres." Over the next month, the club will host the likes of DJ Masda, KINO, DJ Possum and Genki Tanaka (April 25th); Velvet Velour, Bex and Toni Yotzi (May 4th); DJ Ralf (May 10th); and Tross, Cara Murphy and Eric Stark (May 11th).
