Sydney club night Athletica to end after five years

- Sydney club night Athletica will end next month. Now in its sixth and final year, the promoter will throw an extended 11-hour finale on Saturday, April 20th, at Marrickville's The Red Rattler. The event will begin with a Q&A session with founder Isa, covering the detailed skill-sharing manual How I Run My Party: A Guide, which they released for free last year. Performances on the night will come from hosts Uncle Kal, Miski and Kelly Lovemonster, alongside a slew of back-to-backs from Atro and Aquenta, Deepa and Baschoe, Farazzled and sefi, Fried Pork Chop and venus, Kilimi and SOLLYY, Maz and 3urieb, Rakish and Jane, Rydeen and Ma'ata, and salllvage and Stev Zar. Launched in 2019, Athletica has hosted the likes of Traxman, Moopie, dj pgz, Lady Shaka and Ahadadream. The party also helmed regular shows on FBi and Nomad Radio, and published a weekly community newsletter during the Covid-19 lockdown.
