  • NightSchool is a new educational programme for aspiring promoters in Europe. Unveiled on March 15th at Texas festival SXSW, it aims to educate the next generation of event curators on environmental, social and economic sustainability. The programme will select 15 participants, offering peer-learning sessions in various cities and a €5,000 grant to start their own sustainable events. Individuals based in Europe are eligible to participate. Applications are open until April 12th. A week-long training session in Italy, Latvia and Belgium will begin for the chosen students on June 3rd. NightSchool was created by Amsterdam-based nightlife consultancy Vibelab, Brussels club Fuse and others. "Nightlife creatives and culture producers are first and foremost problem solvers," Vibelab's Mirik Milan said. "They are needed right now, more than ever to take on the unique challenges and opportunities of our rapidly evolving cultural sector." For more information, visit NightSchool's website below.
