  • Mixcloud has introduced a new tagging feature. Host Tagging means certain users can now tag the host of the show or the DJ behind the mix they're uploading. The feature is designed to give show hosts and DJs credit for their work, alert their listeners about new content and enable the host to easily re-share the mix on their own profile. The new feature launched today, March 19th, and is available to radio stations and curator profiles. To tag someone, these profiles must first invite a DJ or host to join their community, after which they can tag them and benefit from the host's network. Host Tagging is an attempt to connect communities of listeners and genre-fans to improve discoverability and build networks on the streaming platform. The feature also unlocks a new layout and "Hosts" tab for radio station and curator profiles that showcases their full roster of DJs and saves them time on manual curating playlists. Hosts who are pro members of Mixcloud can also access stats for the shows they're tagged in to discover what shows and mixes are getting the most attention. Watch a video about Host Tagging.
