  • The winners of the 2023 #SAVETHENIGHT fund have been announced. A collaborative project between Jägermeister, Resident Advisor and fabric, the 2023 #SAVETHENIGHT fund welcomed applications from around the world, encouraging ideas to improve nightlife and the nightlife industry. Two winners have been chosen from an application pool of more than 300 entries. A €100,000 pot of funding will be divided between projects based in Kenya and Northern Ireland. The winners are Belfast's Free The Night, which is working on a documentary that spotlights the cultural value of dance floors and electronic music in the city, and Studio Can-V by Jesse Mwenda, a Kenya-based portable studio and rehearsal room that will create a new creative space for artists. The winners were chosen by the #SAVETHENIGHT 2023 jury: presenter and artist Jamz Supernova; Jaguar, BBC Radio 1 presenter and founder of The Jaguar Foundation; DJ, artist manager and industry demystifier Elijah; musician and climate activist Jayda G; and fabric's creative director, Jorge Nieto. The jury will offer mentorship and creative guidance to the winners in the coming months. Read more about #SAVETHENIGHT via the website and listen back to an afternoon of conversations recorded live at the launch event in August 2023.
