  • Paris club and restaurant Café Barge has been severely damaged after a fire broke out on Sunday, January 21st. Speaking to Resident Advisor, a venue spokesperson said "the damage is very significant, we have no visibility on the reopening." The Paris Fire Brigade confirmed in a post on X that no one was hurt but it took three hours to put out the flames, which engulfed the bar and terrace areas of the two-floored narrowboat club. The cause remains unknown. (The PFB declined to comment further pending the ongoing investigation.) The fire reportedly broke out some time on Sunday evening and firefighters were still at the scene earlier today, January 23rd. This is said to be the second barge fire to occur in two days. Located in the 12th arrondissement, Café Barge is renowned for its Sunday morning afterparties. Past guests include Céline, Marwan Sabb and Alisonn.
