  • FKA twigs said she's releasing a new techno-inspired album later this year. On Monday, January 15th, the UK artist revealed details of the upcoming project during a discussion on her Discord server. She said she'd spent the day in the studio with Koreless and mentioned that she'd fallen "in love with techno" while living in Prague a couple of summers ago. "The album isn't techno but the spirit is there," she wrote. FKA twigs said the album will be out later this year, though there's currently no title, tracklist, artwork or release date. She also said the album is "not sad, it's deep," before adding, "I'm not sad anymore." FKA twigs and Koreless have previously worked together on "Unearth Her," which debuted last year during a Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week. It's unclear if the track will feature on the new album. As well as the Welsh producer, FKA twigs said she's working with other "talented friends." Following 2022's RA-recommended CAPRISONGS LP, FKA twigs' highly anticipated fourth album was possibly delayed after 85 demos were leaked last October. At the time she said she wouldn't be releasing any new music "for a while." Watch a performance of "Unearth Her."
