After bringing an all-Black lineup to Berghain and Panorama Bar last March, the New York festival has confirmed it won't be returning this year. "We made this decision a while ago due to the way German institutions were treating those opposing the current genocide in Palestine," the team wrote in a statement on social media. "It’s now reached an absurd level of control." The post quoted the account of Strike Germany, a movement that calls on the international creative community to stop working with German cultural institutions over the government's alleged crackdown on pro-Palestine support. dweller was launched in 2019 as an online publication and festival for Black electronic artists and fans.
