Pontins Southport has closed with immediate effect.
The UK holiday park broke the news via a statement on its website, confirming its closure as of yesterday, January 3rd. "After assessing the future viability of the park, we've come to the difficult decision to close our doors," the statement read. "We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Pontins Southport is the home of beloved festival Bang Face Weekender. Bang Face was set to return to Southport this May, and the founders promised to "provide an update as soon as possible."
It follows the closure of Pontins Prestatyn and Pontins Camber Sands—which previously held events such as Seaside Beano and The Funk & Soul Weekender—in November. The firm has six remaining UK holiday park sites.
