  • NONGKRONG Festival, a new event series in Melbourne, will launch next year. Running from January 29th through February 3rd, the week-long celebration of the Australian-Indonesian diaspora will feature DJ sets from the likes of Sophie McAlister, Munir and Bayu, as well as live performances from Komang and Rino. In addition to music, the festival will feature pop-ups from several Melbourne restaurants, including Florian, Cam's Kiosk and Hope Street Radio. Attendees can also attend a panel on the appropriation of Indonesian cuisine. There will also be a sambal workshop.
