- The outlet released one final VA compilation on Christmas Day.
Paris-based label Casual Gabberz is closing.
The team confirmed the news via Instagram last Monday, December 25th. "We're very grateful to all the people who took a part in this adventure," the post read. "And we feel super blessed to have been able to benefit all these years from this incredibly pure and fun creative place we've built, together with all the friends and hardcore heads who listened and played our music."
Also on Christmas Day, the outlet released one final VA compilation, MEILLEURS VŒUX (FOREVER), featuring tracks from Krampf, Shortcut Minds and Goffbaby, among others.
News of the closure comes two months after Casual Gabberz cut ties with label affiliate CLUBKELLY following sexual assault allegations. "The acts of which CLUBKELLY is accused run completely counter to the values of the other members of the collective, and therefore of the collective itself," the label said in a statement in October. "We're saddened and shocked, and we call on our audience to be aware of the horrible banality of these situations. Let's listen to the victims, be there for our suffering loved ones and try to create spaces where these words can be heard."
Launched in 2013, Casual Gabberz has released music from the likes of Clouds, Von Bikräv and cofounders Evil Grimace and Paul Seul.
