  • Beloved queer venue The Glory is leaving its East London premises after nine years. The news was confirmed yesterday, December 6th, via Instagram by founding drag queens Jonny Woo and John Sizzle and business partner Colin Rothbart. They said the legendary LGBTQIA+ bar must move out of its current Kingsland Road location as the building is being redeveloped. "After nine years here, it would be devastating if this were a last goodbye," the post read. "But we have the keys to a new space close by and this brand-new venture will open before spring." Various festive events and closing parties are planned in the run-up to the venue's closure. More details are still TBA. Past guests at The Glory include Samantha Togni, GIDEÖN and J. Aria.
