Multidisciplinary platform Boudica has revealed the full programme for its 2023 conference.
This will be the third Boudica Music Conference, which features a day and night of knowledge exchange and music aiming to uplift and encourage more women, trans+ and nonbinary people to enter the music industry.
This year's programme will take place at East London club FOLD from 2 PM on Saturday, November 25th. There will be five panels, a mentorship hub, two DJ workshops (hosted by IMOGEN and Swan Meat) and an afterparty. Resident Advisor will also host a live Exchange with FOLD cofounder Lasha Jorjoliani, diving into the club's journey so far and its role in providing an inclusive space.
The topics covered in the panels will be: how to build a supportive world within the music industry; the power of community; amplifying trans+ voices; the challenges and triumphs of LGBTQIA+ representation in dance music; and working towards a brighter future for the industry. People taking part include Jaye Ward, NIKS, I. JORDAN, Planningtorock, Manuka Honey and writer Marcus Barnes.
The mentorship hub, which is a first for the conference, will allow attendees to book personal 30-minute slots with four industry professionals: Lucy Atkinson (Earth Agency), Loz Bruneau (BMG), Ria Hylton (DJ Mag) and Roxanne Oak (PPL).
Once the conference ends, the likes of LYDO, Samantha Togni and Blasha & Allatt will soundtrack the afterparty, also at FOLD.
