  • Tbilisi club Left Bank is expanding its offering. Opened yesterday, November 2nd, Space One is a new all-in-one community hub with a record shop, bookstore, co-working space, bar and café. It takes over the club's second dance floor, also called Space One. When the weather permits, the hub will also make use of the outdoor terrace. From Tuesday through Saturday, Space One will serve coffee, alcoholic drinks and homemade sandwiches, and there are plans to host regular talks, DJ workshops and in-stores. There's currently 1,000 second-hand records in stock, sourced from a local collector, with 200 new vinyl on the way. "The idea was to have something to offer during the week for our community, so they can work or hang out or listen to some records," Left Bank cofounder Gacha Bakradze and resident DJ Ash Scholem told Resident Advisor. "We wanted a way to get closer to the people who frequently come to the club and give them new experiences." Because of the new hub, Space One—which was originally Left Bank's first dance floor until Space Two opened—will only occasionally be used for parties. Built in 1879, the brick building includes a ten-metre tower with a disco ball. In terms of the club, the team also recently changed the layout, moving the entrance so that attendees directly enter into a bar and dance floor, as opposed to the outdoor terrace. Recent guests at Left Bank include Pariah, Container and Kia. Here are some more photos of Space One, and keep up to date with upcoming events via Left Bank's Instagram.
