  • Long-standing community station FBi Radio is turning 20 this December. To celebrate, the Sydney platform is throwing a one-off fundraiser and block party on Sunday, December 9th, across Marrickville Bowling Club, The Red Rattler and an open-air street stage. The lineup is TBA. "That FBi Radio is celebrating 20 years is both a marvel and an absolute" said FBi's Darren Lesaguis. "That the station has persevered for two decades against all odds, while maintaining its independence, is a feat. But of course because where there exists people who love this city, so too will FBi Radio. What better way to celebrate and honour that than with FBi Turns 20. A party nodding to the legacy of the station, and championing the power of its future." Founded in 2003, FBi has championed Sydney's music scene since its inception. Broadcasting to 500,000 listeners per month, the station currently ensures 50 percent of its music is from Australia (with half of that number from Sydney itself).
