  • Here's a way to get more hands-on with Eurorack. Gliss is a touch-sensitive strip that sends out control voltage in response to the pressure and position of your fingertip. It has two scalable CV outputs. You can control them both with a single gesture or split the slider into two and control the outputs asynchronously. The module can also be used as a five-button, pressure-sensitive keyboard and it records movement, so you can draw in a gesture with your finger and then it will loop that movement. This means you could, for example, draw in a very erratic pattern and use that as an LFO. Gliss will record up to 75 seconds of movement. Bela is a British company born out of the Queen Mary University's Augmented Instruments Laboratory in London. It began as an open-source hardware platform for digital instrument makers before moving into Eurorack devices and touch-controllers. Gliss was originally announced in January as a crowd-funding project. It's now available to purchase. Watch a video.
Gliss is available now, priced $149.
