  • A new music platform is giving artists the opportunity to clone, protect, license and monetise their voice. Officially launched on Monday, August 14th, myvox is a legal alternative to voice-mimicking AI technology. It's the first platform of its kind to allow direct distribution of licensed AI voices to all streaming platforms, and is aimed at making music creation more obtainable for those who lack access to state-of-the-art studios. The myvox "Pro" subscription currently costs $14.99 a month. myvox's first AI artist is Dahlia, an AI voice model created by Iranian-Dutch singer-songwriter Sevdaliza. The platform allows creators to transform their vocals into Dahlia's and release subsequent tracks on all streaming platforms. 50 percent of royalties will go directly to Sevdaliza. The artist introduced Dahlia last year via the video for "OH MY GOD," which has since amassed 1.5 million views. myvox is the latest startup to enter into this space. Rivals include VoiceSwap, launched last month by DJ Fresh, and CreateSafe, a company that's working with Grimes on her licensed AI voice model. Try out the beta version of myvox, and revisit "OH MY GOD."
